The INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF ARBORICULTURE is a professional organization dedicated to continuing education for arborists, to tree care research, and to serving tree care consumers around the world. The FLORIDA CHAPTER of the ISA shares this same dedication, with a further commitment to serving the needs particular to Florida's professional arborists and tree care consumers.

To promote the scientifically based practice of arboriculture through research, education and public
awareness.
ISA - Strategic Plan
- To enhance educational programs.
To communicate the benefits of certification to both providers and end-users. To provide regional programs and offer education programs and speakers to tree-related organizations. To increase participation of student arborists. To promote the value of arboriculture to the public and to implement an annual "Trees Florida" conference.
- To create arborist licensing.
To establish state legislation for licensure, implement program and ensure license compliance.
- To license membership and involvement.
To increase communication and market benefits to members through new print materials, exhibit displays, networking and fundraising.
- To create strong partnership.
To influence policy makers about the value of certification. To establish positive, active relationships with non-arborist organizations.
- To broaden research participation and funding in Florida.
To increase arboricultural research through contacting potential research institutions in Florida with information about TREE Fund dollars.
- Determine the best use of the uncommitted funds for the long term.
To agree on the best use of the funds, especially with regards to research, and to seek grants and benefactors.
